For the large scale immersive installation,The Due Return, I was asked to develop a sound installation to provide a sonic environment surrounding the ship. For this installation, I composed a 24 channel electronic music composition that was routed to speakers throughout the environment. In order to best utilize the acoustic space, and provide sounds that descibed the alien planet, I used a combination of sounds produced on a 1962 Moog II at Mills College, and granular synthesis of those sounds produced in Max/MSP software I developed specifically for the project.
